Man Utd 4-0 West Brom
Man Utd beat West Brom 4-0 in a game which was hugely dominated by the home side. Wayne Rooney, Ronaldo, Dimitar Berbatov and Nani scoring the goals at Old Trafford.
Rooney opened the scoring after the home side endured a frustrating first half where they could not create a goal. The in-form striker struck a neat finish from a Berbatov pass. Ronaldo raced to score the second when Rooney provided the pass which probably put the game beyond doubt. Berbatov scored his first league goal as a Nani cross fell to the Bulgarian. Rooney then teed up sub Nani for the forth for a well deserved victory. Ishmael Miller had two great chances for the away side but could not forge a consolation goal.
United dominated most of the first half with a Wayne Rooney goal disallowed. The goal was ruled out as ref Mark Halsey blew his whistle as Rooney seemed to shove a Baggies defender. He did though have a chance a few minutes later but his header was stopped well from Scott Carson.
Young Brazilian Rafael da Silva was a surprise name in the United team sheet as he was named ahead of both Brown and Neville. Tevez and Anderson were both left out the squad after they arrived late from international duty.
