Wednesday’s International Round Up

Europe

Wayne Rooney scored yet another double in England’s 3-1 win over Belarus. Wes Brown and Rio Ferdinand had an easy game in Minsk.

Darron Gibson played his first match for the Replublic of Ireland. The Republic beat Cyprus 1-0. John O’Shea also played the full 90 minutes.

Johnny Evans was suspended for Northern Ireland’s game.

Dimitar Berbatov did not have the best of games as Bulgaria drew 0-0 with Georgia. Nemanja Vidic did not feature for Serbia in their 3-1 win over Austria. Portugal drew 0-0 with Austria, as captain Ronaldo and Nani had disappointing performances.

Van der Sar kept a clean sheet in Netherland’s 1-0 win over Norway.

South America

Tevez did not feature for Argentina as they lost to Chile 1-0. Anderson was among the Brazilain subs in their 0-0 draw with Colombia.

Asia

South Korea thrashed UAE 4-1. Park JI Sung was among the scorers as he played a spirited performance.
